MY PROFILE

Salam/Hello and Welcome to my profile
My name is Urfana Ayub and I am a registered therapist with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I understand it can be hard to find the reasons behind the pain we are feeling and I believe “All we need is Sakoon” (peace). Sometimes in our life we have to go through hardships, damage, loss, pain, betrayal, misunderstanding, mistrust and search for the needed “Sakoon”.

I am a qualified therapist offering a warm, safe and private space for you to explore how you are feeling. At the heart of my work with you is the relationship that I build with you. I qualified as a Person Centred Counsellor but I am integrative in my approach like Solution focused, mindfulness, Cultural Sensitive Counselling, Islamic & spiritual Counselling, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Art therapy & Writing therapy which mean our work together can take many directions and will be tailored to meet your individual needs. We can work together for short term or long term depending on your needs.

Having experienced personal counselling myself I, believe that it can make a positive difference and I can support you to gain insight into what you are experiencing. To offer hope and enable you to change habits, build self-esteem and allow you to start to heal. I do not judge but will offer insights to support you towards your road of recovery. I will work alongside you to enable you to make new choices, make positive changes and heal.

I have a Humanistic philosophy to my work which means I take a holistic view of problems and in our sessions we can discuss and explore any aspects of your mental health and well being.
